Dear ZIPZERO USERS!
We hope that you and your families have been keeping safe and healthy.
Given the unprecedented events of the past few weeks, we would like to update you on how we are tackling the challenges we are facing right now. As we have all heard in the news and felt in our private lives, the economy is also suffering as a result of this onslaught on public health and happiness. None of us expected our lives to be changed so drastically and suddenly.
At ZIPZERO, we have managed to keep things going, however, the circumstances have forced us to make certain changes so our business can survive. Over the past six months, more than 35 thousand people around the UK have joined ZIPZERO’s beta programme, scanning receipts to earn cash to cover the bills. We realise that in a time of crisis, this service is of even greater value and importance to our users. We want to keep ZIPZERO going and to continue providing this service to you all.
As a young start-up, our business runs on the funds paid in by investors who believe in our mission and want to help us grow. In the current economic environment, most investment activities have been suspended or scrapped altogether. Our prospective investors have made the difficult decision to delay their current investment. In response, our existing investors have stepped up to the plate to inject additional funds to keep the business going.
Our current goal is to ride out the storm and keep our business alive as we figure out the ‘new normal’ of the world post-pandemic. The changes we’re planning will stretch our current resources as far as possible so that we can come back stronger in the coming months.
We’re sure you want to know how these changes will impact you. Here is a basic rundown of three stages of change planned for the app over the next few months.
