We hope this message finds you well. We’re doing all we can to get ZIPZERO back on track as soon as possible. Here is the latest on our progress.OUR CURRENT STATUS
As we shared in our last email, we didn’t receive our scheduled funding last month because of the ongoing economic uncertainty related to Covid-19. We reached out to our existing shareholders and received several positive responses. We are waiting to finalize the injection of these additional funds.
Another reason for the delay is that we’re counting on government support for start-ups affected by the economic slowdown. On the 20th of April, the government announced that they are setting up a Future Fund (see more on the fund at this link
). In brief, the government is pledging to match the funds contributed by private investors. This will allow us to double the potential investment over the coming months
. We expect the full details of the Future Fund to be disclosed in the next ten days. At that point, we can make sure our new investments qualify for the government scheme and we can then finalise our funding schedule.
These delays have impacted our ability to process the transfers of bill payments ordered through the ZIPZERO app. We realise that many of our users depend on these funds to help them through these difficult times and we apologise for these delays. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make this happen as soon as we’d hoped, but the moment we have the additional funds in our accounts, we will process these payments. This may come as late as the end of May or early June
, however, we confirm that your available funds will be stored in your wallet until we can put these payments through. Again, we are working hard to return to meeting our commitment to our users
and carrying out your ordered payments on a regular basis. IN THE MEANTIME
At the start of 2020, who could have imagined that our lives would be changed so dramatically over the next few months? The pandemic has impacted individuals and businesses in different ways. At ZIPZERO, we experienced our fair share of turbulence last month and we’re doing our best to keep on going. Most importantly, the incredible support has continued to receive from our users
has been giving us the boost we need to put our all into finding the means to continue. And to continue helping our users pay their bills.
All this has made us even more aware of how much we need to keep ZIPZERO going. In a world driven by profit, we want ZIPZERO to be the counterweight to the greed of the system and to help those of us who need an extra hand in making ends meet. We also fully appreciate that the support from our users is incredibly important to what we’re doing.
So we have come up with a plan to show our appreciation. We would like our users to become an even more integral part of our business - and our journey. We are working on a way to invite our active users to have their share in the future success of ZIPZERO
. That way, we can all reduce our monthly bills and benefit from the potential growth of the business. After all, ZIPZERO is founded on the idea that together, we can improve the future of our households. So it makes sense that once we pull through this tough time, we would share ZIPZERO’s success with everyone who has lent us their trust and support.
We are looking to set up this structure in the coming weeks and we will provide users regular updates on our progress
