The festive season is swiftly approaching and the new ZIPZERO app is gearing up for our BIG launch on Monday 22nd November. In the interim, we are taking the following steps to streamline the process.
The current App will be disabled at noon (12 PM GMT) on Thursday 18th November for maintenance and upgrades. We will be launching the new App at noon on Monday 22nd November. It is quite a long break, but this is necessary to enable the substantial changes we are introducing to make the new App work as seamlessly as possible in time for the launch. Please make sure to scan all of your available receipts before that day. You will be able to scan any receipts dated 18-22nd November as soon as the App is back (as per the 7-day period of validity).
We’ve gotten plenty of questions since our last update on 3rd November. Many users have asked about how the new online shopping feature will work and whether the funds in the old version of the App will be transferred to the new App. We have prepared two in-depth FAQ articles to explain how you can earn Premium Rewards on online shopping with our partner retailers and how you can redeem your previously earned Reward Units. We are all incredibly excited to see how our users will find the new App. We are also looking forward to seeing how we can keep on building our ZIPZERO community and continue to create new relationships with our retail partners. All to deliver on our long-term goal to help consumers use their shopping data to cover more and more of their basic essential costs. We have negotiated partnerships with hundreds of retailers who are willing to divert a portion of their marketing budgets towards rewarding actual customers for their actual purchases - in the form of cash put directly towards our users’ monthly bills. This is all now possible thanks to our new Premium Rewards feature for online purchases.
This is really only the beginning. The more shopping trips our users make through the App, the more firepower we will have behind us to negotiate even better Premium Offers for you in the nearest future.
Now that we have the difficult months of 2020 behind us, we are delighted to come together as a team to create the new ZIPZERO - an even smarter tool that will help cover the monthly bills of consumers across the UK. Our users are part of the team, of course, since every purchase you make within the app - starting with the season’s holiday shopping - helps to grow the App’s status and its potential to secure much more for everyday consumers.
